Hello! I've not been on this site for awhile now. And I haven't posted in several years. At times I'll pull up JWD and read a little bit. The reason I'm here now is to seek information.

I'm in a group on Facebook where JW's and Christians have discussions. In one of the groups, a person has recently joined and began making their presence known by discussing years, times, mostly old testament, etc. I knew there was something very familiar about this person's style of writing. Before long it grew full measure. And I was able to make the connection. But for the life of me, I can't put a name to the writer.

There use to be a poster here [and also on H2O], a black man, a self-professed transvestite and homosexual who claimed to be the 2nd coming of Christ. I seem to remember something about him/her sleeping in a dumpster or something. Everything he/she wrote was bizarre.

My question is this: Does any body that's been here for years and was also on H2O remember what this person's name was/is/gonna be? He/She [whatever] is again making bizarre claims and admitted to me that he/she was the same person that posted on H2O and JWD years and years ago.

One more question, please. There was also another poster here [she was on H2O also] by the name Shelby Johnson. She posted here under several aliases, but the one I remember best was 'AGuest.' Does anybody know whatever happened to her or how she can be contacted?

I would say that truth found me. Truth is a person, not a religion. Jesus came to establish individual relationships, not a system of rules and regulations. And contrary to what a lot of people say, we can know him. The most beautiful part though, is being known by him.

Argument with my Child "Why did I stay in the Organization so long?" Anger and Bitter Feelings.

last night my third oldest child wanted to know why we stayed in the organization so long.

child is a third year college student enjoying all the classes this "wicked system" has to offer, the insatiable appetite for learning makes him want to argue and debate, i don't have the energy to debate because i don't feel good with all life has thrown our way.. .

"the only reason i went to meetings so long was because grandma and grandpa needed somebody to take them to meetings and cobe aunt and uncle and secretary aunt and uncle refused to talk to grandma for years, otherwise i would have stopped attending the kingdom hall because the kids were assholes and i was always the one who had to make "first contact", "i was the one who had to go around and meet and greet newbies while the regular jw wall-flowers (calebs) ignored all the visitors and new persons visiting our kingdom hall.

Both of my kids are grown now. It seems to me that the depths of damage depended on individual personalities. My son 35, who's the oldest makes the most negative comments. Sometimes I think he does it to get a rise out of me. I've explained it to my kids like this....and I continue to do so every time it's brought up. They seem to understand better now that they're parents themselves.

Every decision I've ever made where you're concerned was/is filtered through my unconditional love for you. I've always believed a spiritual foundation to be one of the most important things in life. I still do. The JW religion is what I was taught, therefore it's what I taught you. The exact moment I lost faith in that religion is also the exact moment I stopped teaching it to you or to anybody else. You were still in elementary, if you'll recall. I'm sorry now and I'll always be sorry and apologetic for the negative impact that religion had on your childhood. And I'm sorry you've carried the pain and scars into adulthood. As soon as I seen the religion for what it was, I got both you and your sister out of there as fast as humanly possible. I can't change the past. It is what it is. I'm sorry...."

My daughter has no problem whatsoever. She's gone on with her life and is very successful. My son is also successful. I think that it's more or less his way of just aggravating me now. Give it time. Time is a great healer.

Getting bariatric surgery in March!

after being on a waiting list for three and a half years i've finally reached the light at the end of the tunnel and am going under the knife for a gastric sleeve operation in march.

i can't tell you how pumped i am because i'll finally be able to re-take my life after being severely overweight for several years.

i gained a ton of weight after being put on meds for bipolar disorder and it made exercising a painful chore.

I work in the medical field with lots of people who've had one or another of the various bariatric surgeries. Of those
I know, the one that got the gastric sleeve has faired the best. The weight seemed to melt off of her. She dropped weight so fast that she started to get worried that it wouldn't stop. But it did. She's now at her goal weight and she feels fantastic. It was a rough beginning, but in the end she said she would do it again in a heartbeat.

Nothing special EVER. Not then, not now. Always on the fringe looking in. Never a part of the whole unless you want to count the crumbs that are fried crisp, hard and black.

Who really is the "faithful and discreet slave."

i've been assuming it was the governing body.

i remember in pioneer school,well,that was 20 years ago, the faithful slave was annointed,but so were the domestics.

it was the annointed "feeding" the annointed spritually.

they are coming from a kingdom hall i wasn't affiliated with, and from people i don't know.

i have been disassociated since 1996. but these letters are addressed to me (name spelled correctly with current address).

Zid: Yeah...that pretty much sums it up! :)

Mad: I appreciate your logic...really I do. It's a stretch for me tho, our family name is well known in these here parts. But, who knows, maybe you're right! I give up trying to understand their behavior.

The return address was always the local KH, as recommended by the WTS for security reasons.

Seems to be a nuisance mission. If possible I believe they would change to a liquid form so they could invade your home through the cracks of doors or windows!
